So, I took the whole week to get to writing my blog. No - that wasn't the plan. Yes, I let "life" get in the way of my goals for the week. Am I going to keep beating myself up about it? (every night I told myself to set aside time the next day!) NO
I reminded myself this morning and got to it! I am going to let it go. I will be better next week and start the week off on the right foot, writing my goals down along with a plan of action to accomplish them. And, I will take action daily.
Just because I got off track a bit this week doesn't mean I failed. It means it took the whole week for me to get one of my goals accomplished. That's all- no more, no less. As Keith Raniere, founder of "Executive Success Programs" says, "What are you going to make it mean?"
We tell ourselves we are bad, failures, unprofessional - insert your adjective here - when we get off track. We sabotage our thinking and get ourselves in a funk. We do that to ourselves, no one else does. The trick is, STOP DOING THAT!
Stay positive, remain focused and remind yourself that you are only human. Get right back on the horse, write down your goals, create a plan of action, and work the plan!
So, if you will excuse me, I have got to get to work! Have an excellent Friday and weekend. And make things happen for yourself!
