Maintain your Integrity

We are living in some crazy times, no doubt. When it comes to our businesses, its scary! We want to make sure we survive, stay in business, so we can keep going when this is all over.

It is important that we stop and think before making changes. I know I've said it before, but remember what your mission and values are. Be sure that every new step you take is in line with those values.

If outstanding service is part of your mission statement, make sure you are thinking of "social distancing" ways to still offer that. Be sure that your on-line marketplace is closely monitored so you can respond quickly to customer requests and questions. Be as clear as possible about just what you do, and what makes you different. Do your best to provide as much info as you can about your product. Answer the phone quickly, and with a smile on your face.

Also, be sure you have the staff to provide that outstanding service! There are limitations to how many customers one employee can take care of in the manner your company expects. Be careful not to overextend so you can no longer offer that service your customers have come to count on. They will understand that you may not be able to be open the same hours, but once they are in, if you don't provide the level of service you promote- they aren't as forgiving.

Work on efficiency. Think about your current processes, and how you may be able to adjust those to still provide the service you want with fewer employees. Really dig, I am sure you will find at least a few steps that can be eliminated or tweaked to allow your employees to be as great as they always were.

As you venture into new and exciting ways to share your product with the world, keep your goals in mind. Keep that value that you were already bringing to the table. Think outside the box about new products and ways to bring them to market. There is always room to grow.

Just be true to yourself in the process.

Here's to your health and success!
